Hello. I have two BIII's with the sidecar and the 4x S/PDIF. Leonvb's guide is great, and has been a great help. I figured out how to wire the units for Dual mono, but not with the Sidecar and the 4x S/PDIF module. Does anyone have a easy solution for this? Thanks!

Just put two IDC connectors where you wound use one on the ribbon cable. One connector for each DAC.

Basically, I'm understanding your solution to be something like this... S/PDIF 4x -> Sidecar -> BIII-1 (DIN) -> BIII-2 (DIN) 1A) My first question that I have is that in Leonvb's guide, he said that the I2S lines for dual mono should be the same length from the source. Would this be a problem? 1B) Also, for the S/PDIF switching, I'm guessing something similar? Input_Selector_Switch -> BIII-1 (EXT_IO) -> BIII-2 (EXT_IO) 2) My second question is that by connecting the two EXT_IO of the two buffalo's together, the 3.3v supply will be connected with each other. Would this be a problem as well? Thank you for taking your time out. I really appreciate it! Edited by user Tuesday, October 11, 2011 8:48:05 AM(UTC)

1) This will not be a problem at all. 2) No you would only wire to one EXT-IO and only use one of the DAC controllers.
You would then disable the port expander on the DAC without the controller. I believe there is a section on that in the guide.
