Hi

I am testing out the BuffaloIII with Sidecar and SPDIF4 in stereo mode. Great sound!

The source is SPDIF 44.1KHz 16bit, plays very good in 6 bit, 7bit and 8 bit mode, but fails in 9 bit mode.

When I set it in 9 bit quantizer (SW1.1=ON SW1.2=ON) I get "space invaders" like music, very distorted.
Same result if powercycled.
Lock is on. Locks on lowest DPLL. Input Mapping is ON, all other settings OFF. Jumpers J1-12 shorted on backside.
Firmware is 1.0.1.

Hmmm. What is wrong?

Best

9 bits requires "pseudo differential" (does not work with "true differential")
