Hi
Is the item "Pin header for direct stacking" "929647-04-36-I" which is a 36 pin header incorrect or is it intended to cut it down to be a 3 pin header.

Cut to length as needed. With single row headers shorter runs can often be ordered, but they're not common for DIY as mostly one is only able to order them in the thousands.

The headers in question were chosen for their pin length (long enough to reach between the boards with 0.625" standoffs, thus clearing all components). It was an involved search.
