I have created a thread on the diyaudio forum for those who would be interested to use a third party I/V stage but without sacrificing the use of their beloved Legato/IVY I/V stages. The purpose would be to have both I/Vs available but with a selection switch or push button have the one desired active. I own a Dual Mono BII setup with dual Legato 3.1 and love it but sometimes I just want to listen to some types of music using my tube I/V. Here's the thread I have started. Ideas are welcome Dual I/V stage implementation for BII and BIIII'm just waiting for Russ or Brian for their blessing on getting the board layout of BII/BIII and Legato for screw alignments and header alignments. Some sort of gerber files but without any circuit info, just the connectors... Thanks Do

Hey Russ, Brian, I have PM Russ a couple of days ago but didn't get any replies. You guys are probably ROFLYAO with my idea but I would like to give it a chance if you don't mind. Russ, could you PLEASE provide me with the info I have asked you. This is really just contact header and screw header positions, nothing secret. It would give me a break of having to measure everything by hand and make mistakes... I would truly appreciate this gesture! Thanks Do

The board lay-out for the BIII is on page 3 of the guide. The output connections of the BII and BIII (03 and 04) are identical, otherwise they can't stack on the I/V stages.

Hi LeonvB, Thanks for this information. But what I'm looking for is actual measurements for those connector positions (X / Y position in inches or mm) Ciao! Do BTW, It's the first time I look at the BIII integration guide and man you did an outstanding job!

Thanks, it was quite some work. But it's good to know people can now actually use the parts they bought.

Well I can say I am thinking the idea is fundamentally flawed. I am afraid it really is not a good idea.

What would you suggest aside buying another BIII (running two separate DACs, one with Legato and one with tubes)?
Thanks Do

Just switch between the two until you find the one you like best. :)

I think I'll just build a TDA-1541 NOS DAC and use the Tube output on it and keep my Dual BII with Legato 3.1 together!
Russ, in dual mono with the dual Legato 3.1, could you please let me know which resistors on the Legato are the most critical? I'd like to try some TX-2575 z-foil in there...
Thanks Do
