Hey guys,

1. I'm doing a little redecoration inside my dac, and i was wondering if feeding tridents with 5v is a good or bad idea? Obviously, they will be producing less heat, which is good, but what about sound, will it suffer?

2. What is the max load that can be safely attached to unused 3.3v output on I2C header of buffalo ii? I want to feed tenor te7022 chip from it, haven't measured its current draw yet, but if it is, say, 75 mA or less, will it be safe?

Thanks,
Fedor

1) 5V is just fine.

2) Anything more than 10-20ma is going to be too much for that trident. Not because it will harm it, but because it is a shunt regulator and the power will very likely sag too much. Better off to power the other cricuit separately.
