This morning I soldered up my 2nd HD BP Placid but on apply ing the load, the three LEDs on the negative side of things all glowed extra bright; the ones on the other side were fine. I immediately disconnected and checked components were in the right place - they appeared to be, and I'm pretty thorough (doesn't mean I can't make the odd mistake though...). I resoldered all connections but the problem's the same.

Help! I'm very much a newbie to DIY Hi-Fi so please be gentle with me. Here're a couple of photos, not sure they're very revealing though :-

Hey Tony,

Looks like you've got Current Limiting Diode mounted backwards on the negative side.
