I wonder if anyone has found a solution for this yet.
The Dac runs and plays wonderfully. However on startup when it is cold, it drops out intermittently until it warms up a which is about 5 minutes. After that no problems whatsoever. If I don't turn it off there are no problems.

I have searched the forum and have seen this mentioned, but have not seen a solution for this particular phenomenon.

All voltages are fine and stable (12.5 on Legato and 5.4 on placids) , and it does this whether directly SPDIF wired or with the MUX.

It did this before the tridents were added as well.

Present layout is Buffalo II, tridents, Placid BP dual placids, MUX.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

This is just the amount of time it takes the DPLL to adjust to the clock as it warms up. The only way around it would be to increase the DPLL bandwidth and allow more jitter through.

Thanks Russ,

I was wondering if something was wrong. In any case it is not enough of a problem to worry about.
Just allows some warmup time.
