Hi
The speaker drivers I am considering (Lowther dx4s) come in three different impedance ratings 4,8 and 16 ohm. Which drivers would present the best load for the sympaticos? I'm guessing the 4 ohm but am not sure.
In an open baffle I would need to boost the bass significantly so I would be driving the amp reasonably hard. Power rating of the drivers and amp could be the limiting factor for my bass extension if the drivers Xmax doesn't limit me first, so I want to get every last bit of power I can.
Thanks
Dan

4 Ohm would be limiting the output power. The chips used are mainly limited in current (I believe 10A?). So going for drivers with low impedance ratings will lower the power available considerably.

I would use 8ohm personally.

Thanks, that's one more thing finalized on my shopping list.
