Going to Dual-Mono - What will I need now please?

I've recently completed my first Buffalo II using Tridents, Legato 2.1, Placid & Placid BP, 9v & 15v transformers. I also bought a 4:1 MUX and a TOSlink module but I've yet to use the latter two items because of concerns over powering them from the one Placid with Tridents.
Being so impressed with the sound quality, I decided to try dual-mono and was lucky enough to "win" another Buffalo II board the other day which I ordered with another Placid. I'd then intended to buy a second Legato & Placid BP, plus another two transformers, but now the specifications have changed I'm unsure what to do. Will I need two of the latest Legatos, plus two of the new High-Power Placid BPs, or can I use the old Placid BP and just one new type? I'm also unsure about how best to power the MUX & TOSlink modules.
All advice will be gratefully received but please treat me gently - I'm a novice at this stuff and have only got this far thanks to great advice from you folks and the folks over at PFM which I've slavishly followed!

No problems here with a single Placid powering 1 BII with Tridents, plus a Mux and Toslink module. You do need the newer versions of the Placid though, or you'll have to change some things if you're using an old one. An alternative would be to buy a single LCDPS, and use that one for the two BII boards, while you use the Placid you already have for the Mux/Toslink modules.
Regarding the new HD BP supplies: Russ stated the unit will provide up to 1.5A, so I'd say it's an option to use a single one for both output stages. Using 2 is optional in terms of power requirements, but as with all things in Hi-fi more is usually regarded as "better" :) You could certainly try the Placid BP you already have for the other I/V stage, I doubt you'll hear the difference. Russ stated it would be possible to change a Legato 2 to a 3 with some work, so I'd try that before buying a second Legato 3.

Thank you for your swift and very helpful reply Leon. Whilst I'm waiting for the new Buffalo I'll try adding in the MUX & TOSlink - guess I'll have to readjust the Placid? Since adding the Tridents it does get rather warm so I was a bit nervous of putting additional load on it. It's only a month or so old so I guess it's the latest specification. Sorry, I'm a bit wooly with all this. Think I'll order up a single HP Biopolar Placid for the Legatos plus the extra Legato & await advice on how to modify the existing Legato. Hi tony, I also just win 1 BII to able to complete the duo mono configuration, i got a question, since your 1st BII already got a trident, Do you need 2nd set of trident for the 2nd BII board?

Yes - you would need an extra set of tridents for a dual-mono.
Unless you only wan't the improvement they give on only one channel ;-)
