Hi, I've just built a Buffalo II and connected it to my tubestage. Problem is that the sound is way too loud. Is there a way to adjust the output level of the DAC?

I think you want to reduce the gain of the tube stage...

But is there a way to reduce the gain on the Buffalo II board? I used the digital board from Audio Note earlier, no probs at all...

I know that I can use a 330R between signal and ground to reduce the gain noticably on my tubestage, but wouldn't that change the soundcharacteristics?

There is no gain on the Buffalo module itself. You can adjust the digital volume...

Lowering the value of the I/V resistor would probably be the way to go, unless there is another gain stage after that.
