In addition I omitted C7 and C8 as they would be shorted to gnd if mounted.<br />To get the gnd connected instead of the adj pin, I omitted the VR1 and VR2 and placed a jumper between the center leg and the one closest to the regulator.<br /><br />My supplies are now: <br />LCDPS with custom fixed output 5,25V 2A regulator on one side. The other side of the LCDPS is normal with a 317 and adjusted to 7,5V to the DAC controller (CE-designs 644 controller).<br />LCBPS with +15V and -15V fixed regulators.<br /><br />The 5,25V regulator is powering:<br />1 Buffalo 3se<br />2 optical modules<br />1 Teleporter<br />1 Otto 2<br /><br />The +-15 is powering <br />1 Ivy3<br /><br />Working well so far. The custom has been running 24/7 for a few weeks (I had to flip the supply up side down, use 38,1mm standoffs instead of the normal that came with the kit and put thermal paste between the heatsinks (original TPA) and the chassis in order for it to run cool enough for my taste). The +-15V have been running for about 3 hrs. Will report back if I experience any issues. If either is higher, use SPJ17. Same with negative regulator IC2, except order SP79 or SPJ79. Order with output voltages of Voutpos and Voutneg.<br /><br /> Once you get the Superpowers, remove R5 and R6, place jumpers from the ADJ pins to the DC_OUT.2 wire (this may be a ground plane) and jumpers across R1 and R2:<br /><br /><br /><br /> It appears IC1 and IC2 have a heat sink, so the Superpowers should also be heat sinked. I am wondering wich parts to omit on the lcdps and lcbps in order to use them with fixed output regulators as a drop in replacement for the 317/337.
